Chelsea and Derek met in their twenties, and the relationship took off quickly. Derek came into it with years of frozen meals, sodas, energy drinks, and sweets, and Chelsea naturally stepped into the role of helping him build better habits.
They tried a lot along the way—including about a year of veganism—but the results never matched the effort. When they went back to eating meat, their plates were still heavy on carbs like pasta, bread, fruit, and vegetables. Over time, Chelsea’s weight crept up to around 160 pounds, and she struggled with years of poor sleep and menstrual issues, while Derek dealt with constant brain fog and difficulty focusing that felt a lot like undiagnosed ADHD.
They both started lifting weights and decided to go low carb, then quickly shifted into keto. That opened the door to small but noticeable improvements, and their desire to optimize took over, leading them into a full carnivore, animal-based approach. Even just 1.5 months in, the changes were dramatic: Chelsea began steadily losing fat, her sleep improved, their energy stayed stable throughout the day, and they rarely felt tired or hungry between meals.
Their moods evened out, and situations that once caused stress no longer hit as hard. Derek noticed the brain fog lift, his focus increase, and a new sense of calm around his ADHD-like tendencies—he still has plenty of energy, but now can direct it where it matters most.
This journey has been a constant evolution, but discovering keto and carnivore has made them feel more like the humans they always wanted to be. It also sparked a deep desire to help others build a consistent, sustainable animal-based lifestyle so they can live their best life and become the strongest, healthiest versions of themselves.
Chelsea is a 34-year-old Leo, born and raised in San Jose, California. She grew up active and disciplined, dancing competitively from age 3 to 18.
Even as a healthy, active teen, things shifted when she started getting strep throat several times a year around age 16. By 19, her doctor was ready to remove her tonsils, but after an odd bout of thrush, Chelsea started researching on her own and discovered she had a candida overgrowth. She followed a candida protocol, healed the yeast issue, and the recurring strep went away, igniting a lifelong passion for learning how to heal the body with food.
When she is not deep in a health book, Chelsea loves playing video games, traveling, knitting, crocheting, cooking, hiking, and snuggling with her lovebird, Little Leota. She brings that same curiosity, care, and creativity into supporting clients who want to feel at home in their bodies again.
Derek is 44, a Scorpio, and always dreaming about the next international adventure. Born in Washington State, he spent about five early childhood years in Landsberg, Germany, living with his father (who was stationed there with NATO), his younger brother, and his grandmother.
Those years were filled with road trips across Europe, visiting historic sites, storybook castles, and magical Christmas markets that left a lasting impression. As an adult, he has returned to Germany in December more than once, just to experience those Christmas markets again.
Derek brings that same sense of exploration and openness to coaching—curious, optimistic, and always looking for better ways to live, feel, and perform. Paired with his own transformation in energy, mood, and focus on keto/carnivore, he is passionate about helping others experience that same shift from “getting by” to truly thriving.
